As we known about the pipe fittings,the pipe reducer is used to connect two pipes of different diameters.The pipe reducers are divided into two types: concentric reducer(Conreducer) and eccentric reducer(Ecc reducer).When a con reducer connect two tubes,the tubes need to share a common centerline or alignment.

The shape of the concentric reducer like a / \, it is used a lot in the vertical piping systems.Because of the diameter change the pipes, it will bring the change in flow of fluid or other abrupt.When designing the piping system,the engineer should consider all the situation.If the system need to avoid the abrupt,the concentric reducer should be the first choice.The pressure will be even when the flow through the joint of a concentric reducer,it can make the piping stable.The shape of the concentric reducer is even,so it is easier to produce,the cost and price is lower comparing to the eccentric reducer.The butt welding reducer are made from the steel pipes directly for the common size.The bigger size more than 24 inches,will be manufactured from the steel plate.
